HDPE PE80 Cable Duct

Description

Electric Cable Duct (ECD) is designed to house and protect electrical cables when buried in the ground and to withstand Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).

Available in a variety of sizes from 63mm to 250mm with an SDR11 pressure rating and available in 6 metre and 12 metre lengths as standard. Other lengths and SDR ratings are available upon request. Coils are available in diameters from 63mm – 180mm.
The pipe is marked with the manufacturing company’s name and “HDPE PE80 DIN 8074 NOT FOR POTABLE WATER DANGER ELECTRIC CABLE (OD) X SDR11 (EXTRUSION LINE NO.) BUTT WELDING IN ACCORDANCE WITH WIS 4-32-08 (BATCH NO.) (DATE/TIME)”

ECD is supplied in black as standard, however other colours of cable duct are available upon request, such as orange, green and purple, and is manufactured using a co-extrusion method.

All the Electric Cable Ducting (ECD) that we supply is tested so that the strength and integrity of the pipe is met before it can be released for delivery. Tests include:
• Manufacturer conducting polymer tests on goods-in
• Density
• Melt Flow Rate
• Oxidation Induction Time
• Dimensional checks on pipe
• Tensile tests on butt welded pipe
